NCC is administered by Ministry of Defence and is headed by a Director General (DG) of the rank of Lieutenant General who monitors its functioning through the DG NCC HQ in Delhi. DCAC students are attached with Army unit of Group HQ Delhi 'C' i.e., 7 Delhi Battalion (7DBN) NCC, Delhi, Delhi Directorate in Senior Division (SD) of National Cadet Corps since 1987. The DCAC NCC unit provides several opportunities to the cadets. DCAC also gives weightage to the NCC 'A' Certificate holders at the time of admission in various courses offered by the college of up to 10 per cent marks under NCC admission quota. Due procedure is followed as per the DU/UGC rules and regulations. It encourages cadets to participate in various activities throughout the year which includes attending various prestigious National and International camps and parades like Youth Exchange Programme (YEP), Republic Day Parade, Thal Sainik Camp, All India Trekking Camp, National Integration Camp, Combined Annual Training Camp/Annual Training Camp, Rock Climbing Camp, Para Sailing/Slithering Camp, Advance Leadership Camp, Chief Minister Rally, Blood Donation Camp, Disaster Relief Camp, etc. Total sanctioned strength allocated to our institution by the 7DBN Unit is 54 Cadets and each cadet is selected through the proper selection procedure as coordinated with the unit.
DCAC NCC Unit does not strive only to provide a suitable environment to motivate the youth to take up a career in the Armed Forces, but also to train and motivate youth, and inculcate spirit of courage & bravery to face any sort of situation in life under the guidance of Lt Bhupinder, Assistant Professor and Associate NCC Officer (ANO). Lt Bhupinder was awarded the rank of lieutenant in Army on 21-03-2015 with Personal No, NCC/04110024 after completing PRCN/SD-157 Course as per section 21(5) of National Cadet Corps Act, 1948.
