Principal's Message

Established in 1987, Delhi College of Arts and Commerce (DCAC) has achieved a reputation for nurturing and promoting excellence. Over the years, the college has made remarkable progress in the fields of both academic and extra-curricular activities. DCAC caters to the learning needs of more than 2500 students and has emerged as one of the most sought-after colleges in the University of Delhi. The immensely talented and highly committed faculty members of the college are actively engaged in shaping young minds and generating new knowledge through research. The members of its non-teaching staff are highly dedicated individuals who work towards creating an environment conducive to teaching and learning.

At DCAC, we creatively negotiate between traditional values and the possibilities offered by the modern world, to create a space where students can blossom into confident and sensitive young adults, forge lifelong relationships, ready to take on the world. We try and inculcate the love of knowledge and learning among our students and develop skills to help them become responsible global citizens. With a focus on providing holistic education, the college encourages the use of innovative pedagogical practices to further the teaching-learning process. The learning process at DCAC includes lectures, seminars, workshops, power-point presentations and conferences which expose students to new currents of thought and endow them with valuable life-skills. By training students to think critically and sharpening their powers of analysis, the college equips them to measure up to the challenges of the future.

The college has active NCC and NSS units along with several other student-faculty initiatives that help the college render its institutional social responsibilities. We have a dynamic Placement Cell that has helped our students secure excellent positions and attractive packages in the leading Multinational Corporations.

With these enlightening words of Rabindranath Tagore, I welcome you all to Delhi College of Arts & Commerce and wish you all the best: “The highest education is that which does not merely give us information but makes our life in harmony with all existence.” Rabindranath Tagore
