Do you wish to become a francophone? Any student who wishes to learn French at beginners or intermediate level can pursue one’s endeavors
at Delhi College of Arts and Commerce. Six months Certificate/ Diploma/ Advanced Diploma level courses are open to all the students.
Students of any domain who have completed or even the one who are currently pursuing their studies in any college or university are
eligible to apply for admission in these courses
The college ensures that each student's French language skills are developed and improved at the recommended CECRL (A1, A2 and B1)
level.
Main purpose of offering students to learn French as foreign language is to provide them the opportunity to not only be capable to read,
write and speak a foreign language, but also make them explore the culture of France and other francophone countries. Learning a language
tend to open new doors of opportunities, it allows all to discover unknown horizon from different perspectives.
CECRL recommended methods “Latitudes 1” in Certificate, “Latitudes 2” in Diploma course and “Latitudes 3” in Advance Diploma course
are used. Subjects like Translation, Literature, Tourism and Business are also taught at Advanced Diploma level so that students
learn effectively to put into practice one’s language skills.
The college offers following Add on Courses in French:
Since 2006 the college is also offering one year certificate/diploma course in German. These courses are open to all the students who
may/may not be pursuing a degree course from the college or university. The guest faculty recommended by GRS dept. teaches these
courses.
While some of students join the courses with a specific purpose of studying or working in Germany, others simply want to learn
something new. Most of the students associate Germany with science and technology and industrial development. For those interested
in philosophy, literature, theater and history Germany and German language are of great interest. Learning German definitely facilitates
the chances of all these students to study their subject in depth. An opportunity to study or work in Germany is a great attraction for
all these students.
The college offers following Add on Courses in German:
Spanish is the official language of twenty countries and the second language of the U.S.A. It is also one of the official
languages of the United Nations. Being so widely spoken, knowledge of Spanish offers many job opportunities and is an added
asset in any profession. Spanish course starts from the most basic level wherein no previous knowledge of the language is required
and go on to complete the study of grammar at the advanced level along with the study of simple literary texts and translation.
They are thereafter eligible for the M.A. Course in the subject. Interactive sessions with relevant resource persons are held regularly
to guide the students on work opportunities.

The students who have 45% aggregate in class XII may apply for the Add on Certificate Course in GERMAN/FRENCH/SPANISH in the Offline mode.
After the document verification by the college students are allowed to pay their respective course fees through online mode in the account
given below. The students can also pay the fees through offline mode in the college (Room No. 14) with the demand draft of
requisite fees.
Diploma Course
The students who have completed Certificate Course may apply for the Add on Diploma Course in
GERMAN/FRENCH/SPANISH in the online mode. After the document verification by the college students are allowed to pay their respective course fees
through online mode in the account given below. The students can also pay the fees through offline mode in the college (Room No. 14) with the demand
draft of requisite fees.
Advanced Course
The students who have completed Diploma Course may apply for the Add on Advanced Diploma Course
in GERMAN/FRENCH/SPANISH in the online mode. After the document verification by the college students are allowed to pay their respective course
fees through online mode in the account given below. The students can also pay the fees through offline mode in the college (Room No. 14) with
the demand draft of requisite fees.
